Haikyu!! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. The story follows Shōyō Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature. The protagonist Xiangyang Hyuga saw a volleyball game on TV when he was a child. The heroic appearance of a small man in Wuye High School on the court is simply a "little giant". Xiangyang was very impressed by this and began to fall in love with volleyball. Always wanted to be a "little giant".
